Meet the Staff at Harbour Trees Golf & Beach Club
Ed Devlin-Golf Course Superintendent
Ed has a BS degree in Turf Science and a BS in Horticulture from Purdue University. Just recently Ed received his Masters degree in Business Administration. While attending Purdue, he worked four seasons at the Country Club of Indianapolis and interned for one season at Hyannisport Club on Cape Cod. After graduation, Ed was hired by the Country Club of Indianapolis as the Assistant Superintendent and has worked there for three years. Ed joined Harbour Trees in 1999 and we feel very lucky to have someone with his education and valuable experience.
Kevin O'laughlin, CCM - Food & Beverage Manager
Our Clubhouse Manager Kevin O’ Laughlin brings to Harbour Trees over twenty five years of Private Club experience. Originally from the Indianapolis area, Kevin began his career in the kitchen as the Head Chef for the Knights of Columbus on Indy’s north side back in the late seventies, eventually moving into the Assistant Manager’s position and the Club Manager’s position which he held for five years. From there he moved to his first club position at Maple Creek Country Club on the eastside of Indianapolis. Ironically one of Pete Dye’s first golf course designs. Kevin began a nine year stint as Club Manager at Crooked Stick Golf Club in 1991 where he sat on the Executive Committee and was instrumental in organizing the food and beverage service for both the PGA Championship in 1991 and the Women’s Open in 1993. In 2000 Kevin moved on to Hillcrest Country Club where he oversaw a 3.8 million dollar clubhouse remodel and expansion during his three year tenure. The last eight years Kevin has been the Club Manager at Meridian Hills Country Club where he oversaw the food and beverage, swim pool, fitness, tennis, Kids Club and business office operations. A thirteen year member of the Club Managers Association of America, Kevin has served on the Board of Directors and was a two time Chairman of the Indiana District and Past President of the Ohio Valley Chapter. Kevin received his Certified Club Managers (CCM) designation in 2003.
Bill Wampler-Head Chef
Bill started as an apprentice through Ivy Tech of Indianapolis Culinary Arts Program. He previously apprenticed at the Adam's Mark Hotel where he studied all the classical culinary stations, preparations, and techniques. He studied under numerous great Chefs throughout the country . His strong emphasis on presentation and artistry has proven invaluable as our Chef at Harbour Trees. Bill is especially talented at cakes for all occasions.
